Book | There is (still) love here
Author | Dean Atta
Publisher and Release Date | Nine Arches Press, September 2022
Project Brief
Dean Atta already had an enthused fan base from his YA break-out novel-in-verse The Black Flamingo which had huge PR spend behind it. For indie press Nine Arches Press, the campaign for his second full-length collection was about building a buzz for this early autumn release.
Campaign
Working closely with Dean, his agent and the publisher, we devised a campaign which would cement Dean’s reputation in the poetry world. While we were working within a relatively small budget, we secured a splash for this moving collection about love and loss, including great broadcast exposure.
Results
Dean appeared not only on national radio with a slot on BBC Radio 4 Loose Ends, he also appeared on a late night show interviewed by the broadcaster LionHeart on BBC Radio London. As Dean was moving back to London from Glasgow, we were able to secure print coverage both regionally with a feature in The Skinny while Dean was also profiled in the Poetry Society’s print magazine Poetry News.
